CHARACTER PERFORMANCE ANIMATION
Progress Report
MAIN IDEA
A teenage girl who is very excited and happy about her final audition is spreading the good news to her friend over the call with an artful manner.
MY INSPIRATION ?
I always get inspire by stories written by my dad and I like stories too. I always wanted to incorporate my own idea and imagination on screen. Now, I got the opportunity and freedom to do it, than why not a scene from my own story? I took one dialogue, acted and recorded my voice and used it for animation.
AIM & OBJECTIVE
The aim is spreading a message that help people who need and deserve help and be human, we will loose nothing, but we don’t know what situation a person facing and dealing with in his or her life. And obviously, through this animation I like to learn animating expression and emotions and also lip-sync and the flow of body along with that emotions and sound or audio. It is not perfect yet but I know one day I will be near to perfection level, may be.

REFERENCES AND RESEARCH AND CG ASSETS
For this project, I selected the character who is very jolly and happy girl with big dreams. During my class, apart from internal tutorials provided by my supervisor, I was learning about tween machine online and I found one tutorial how to animate easily with tween machine plugins in Maya. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-BUhzOCBfk
I have done lot of practice with different poses to make it handy with the rig and now I think this rig is quite flexible and easy to handle.
REFERENCE VIDEOS
During my workshops I did lots of research about entire procedure, How to accomplish a performance animation efficiently. I gone through many videos online form preproduction to Playblast and publish. Some videos were really helpful. For example;
The Secret Animation Workflow You Should Be Using, I learnt everything about Animation Layers.

Later, I realized that just for one character sitting and talking is simple animation so I did not feel the requirement, but it is a great tutorial I am going to use it for next project.
The 7 Workflows of Professional Animators, Its really helpful, all animators should follow.

There are many internal tutorials provided by my Supervisor, but still researching online and going through some different animations done by various artists is added advantage.

VOICE OVER
I recorded some dialogue in my mobile and used it for my project. I did research how it works with the scene and what are the possibilities.
FINAL VIDEO OF CHARACTER PERFORMANCE ANIMATION
Initially, I have faced many problems and I struggled a lot during the process, at times I thought to give up with this and do something else, lol. But positively, I handled it with patience and I have done it but I wish I could have more time to polish it and give the finishing touch to make it perfect. For now, I have added the finished video on top of this page, Enjoy, and don;t forget to comment below, Thanks.
